Your AROMA summer kit

Whether you're going on holiday or staying at home, summer is often synonymous with a variety of little aches and pains.

Sunburn?
An insect bite?
A small sore?
Don't panic, we've selected the main products to help you go natural.

Essential oils

Java Citronella

Known to repel insects, it is mainly used as a gentle vapour in summer. It helps to repel insects and cleanses the air.

Peppermint

Tonic and refreshing, traditionally known to help relieve headaches (neat, 1 drop on the temples) and travel sickness (as an olfaction), it is also energising: it soothes the mind and helps dispel feelings of tiredness. Olfactory use can also help stimulate the mind and aid concentration.

! Not suitable for people with epilepsy!

Italian Helichrysum

To help relieve bruises, bumps and small haematomas, it also helps tone heavy legs and regenerate damaged skin. It can be used either undiluted on bruises and bumps, with 1 to 2 drops massaged into the area, or diluted in a vegetable oil to regenerate the skin or on heavy legs.

Spike Lavender

This truly versatile essential oil helps to soothe sunburn, calm insect and sea animal bites and purify small pimples. It can be used either undiluted on the injured area (bites, pimples), or diluted in calendula oily macerate for sunburn and skin irritations.

Sweet orange

Soothing, calming and relaxing, it contributes to relaxation and promotes restful sleep. It is mainly used by olfaction, given the risk of photosensitisation. But it can also be diffused to purify the air, with its soft, happy fragrance. Breathe it in for its relaxing action.

Ceylon Cinnamon

Particularly useful when travelling far away, where hygiene conditions are delicate, it is a must-have in your travel kit to help with stomach aches and digestive problems. It is used in summer, mainly to help relieve intestinal infections.

Cautions: never use undiluted on the skin (dermocaustic).

Refresh yourself with hydrosols

A refreshing plant-based bath, hydrosols are very pleasant in summer.

The most refreshing is peppermint, which you can spray on your face and body at any time of the day. You can also spray a rose geranium, fine lavender, blackcurrant, chamomile or cornflower hydrosol, to be kept in the fridge for a frosty effect.

As part of my summer aroma kit, I'm also including my Bioflore aloe vera gel!
